Hemali Saujani

Hemali is an energetic and solutions-focused HR professional. Her background encompasses key areas of talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation, onboarding, and project management. She thrives in fast-paced environments where she can utilise her versatility and drive to advance critical HR initiatives.

Most recently, Hemali served as the Global HR Lead at Global Counsel, a strategic consultancy, where she supported 140+ employees across 5 global offices. There, she spearheaded numerous projects, including a digital transformation initiative, HRIS implementation, and redesigned performance reviews. Her proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving enabled her to resolve employee relations issues, optimise processes, and elevate the employee experience.  

In her role as HR Project Manager, Hemali is eager to leverage her project management skills to ensure the flawless execution of key HR projects. She will draw from past experiences successfully managing full project lifecycles, from planning through execution, communication, risk mitigation, and quality assurance. Her priority will be delivering projects on time, within scope, and within budget.

In addition to project leadership, Hemali looks forward to serving and supporting as a strategic HR business partner to the wider HR Team, supporting recruiting, onboarding, training, compliance, and other initiatives. Her passion is creating an engaging and inclusive culture where employees feel valued and empowered.

Hemali holds a BA in Anthropology from Goldsmiths, University of London. She believes her studies in human behaviour and culture contribute greatly to her success in HR and people management. Hemali is currently working towards her CIPD qualifications and is interested in becoming an NLP practitioner in the future.

Outside of work, Hemali enjoys travel adventures with her bright 7-year-old son. From North Africa to South America, every new destination brings learning and wonder. She also loves sports, especially tennis, and considers herself a bit of a foodie who is always on the hunt for new cuisines to try – octopus salad being a warm weather favourite. Hemali also loves dance and is looking forward to starting bachata dance classes.
