Maria Delgado
Maria joined Eradigm in May 2021 as an Associate Consultant, bringing to the team her passion for the pharmaceutical industry and her two-year consulting experience. Her previous consulting role spanned multiple therapeutic areas including oncology, neurology, immunology and rare diseases through competitive intelligence as well as market research/access projects of global scope. Through these projects, she acted as a strategic thought partner to some of the key pharmaceutical players providing real-time support in the development and commercialisation of life-saving medicines from early-stage to the post-marketing phase.
She holds a PhD In Synthetic/Molecular Biology from the University of East Anglia, funded by the Eastern Academic Research Consortium, focused on understanding calcium signal decoding. Further research experience includes a one-year research project in Synthetic Biology at Cardiff University through the Erasmus+ international mobility program. During her time in academia, she attended national and international conferences and events where she had the opportunity to present her research to wide audiences.
Prior to academia and during her studies, she participated in voluntary work including food and toy collection for the less fortunate as well as worked as a Medical Laboratory Assistant for the NHS. Both experiences stimulated her desire to make a difference to the lives of others, contributing to her passion for making an impact in society through the pharmaceutical industry.
Outside of work, Maria considers herself a “foodie”. She is a passionate cook and baker and loves discovering new cultures through their cuisine. She also enjoys fitness and is a dance enthusiast, particularly for Latin dances such as salsa and bachata.
